Kiro says that view updates at least every five minutes. whoburnedmore does not import Kiro credits.

How to check Kiro credits and the next reset
Open the account view
In Kiro IDE, open the account or settings control and choose Account & Billing, Manage Plan, or Manage Subscription. Kiro opens the subscription portal in your browser when needed.
Read all four fields
Record the plan allocation, credits already used, credits remaining, and billing-cycle boundary. If you bought add-ons, identify that balance separately even when Kiro displays a combined total.
Refresh before deciding
Recent work may not appear instantly. Kiro documents updates at least every five minutes, so wait for the native meter before buying credits or changing tiers.

How Kiro credit consumption works
Kiro measures work fractionally. The table explains direction, not a fixed conversion rate: exact consumption comes from the product's meter and current model multipliers.

Fill this in with native dashboard values. Use several representative days for the average—one unusually large spec task can distort a one-day sample.

Wait, add credits, or upgrade?
Wait for the reset
Monthly plan credits renew at the start of the next billing cycle. This may fit non-urgent work, but confirm the date in your dashboard rather than assuming a local-midnight reset.
Buy an add-on
Paid individual tiers can buy prepaid add-on credits. As documented on the review date, Kiro consumes plan credits first; unused add-ons roll over and expire 12 months after purchase.
Upgrade the tier
An upgrade raises the plan allocation immediately, but billing treatment differs for a first paid upgrade and later tier changes. Read the confirmation and current official billing rules before committing.
Keep the warning enabled
Kiro's billing notifications are enabled by default and its August 2026 docs describe a low-resource notice at 80% of monthly credit usage. In the Command Palette, search for Notifications: Billing to verify the setting. Treat the notice as a prompt to check the dashboard, not as a substitute for it.

Where can I see how many Kiro credits I have left?
Use Kiro's own subscription dashboard. Open Account & Billing or Manage Plan/Subscription from your Kiro account controls, then read the monthly limit, used credits, remaining credits, and billing-cycle timing shown there. That account view is authoritative.
Is one Kiro request always one credit?
No. Kiro documents fractional credit consumption: simpler work can use less than one credit, while complex or long-running work can use more. Model choice can also change the credit rate. A request count therefore cannot be converted to credits with one universal multiplier.
Are Kiro credits the same as model tokens?
No. Tokens are units processed by a model; credits are Kiro's product-metering unit. Tokens and task complexity may influence consumption, but the native Kiro credit total—not a local token estimate—determines your remaining allowance.
Do unused Kiro credits roll over?
Kiro's August 2026 documentation says unused monthly plan credits do not roll over. Purchased add-on credits do roll over between months, are consumed after plan credits, and expire 12 months after purchase. Recheck the official billing page before making a purchase.
Can whoburnedmore import my Kiro credit history?
