Before you run it

Do I need to install anything?
No. npx downloads and runs the command for you.
Do I need an account?
To publish your rank, yes — the default run signs you in with GitHub or Google (a quick browser approval). Want to stay offline? npx whoburnedmore --local needs no account for the local dashboard. Decline the optional publish offer to keep its aggregates on your machine.
What leaves my machine?
Usage totals: token counts, estimated cost, dates, tools, and models. Not prompts, code, file names, or project names.
How do I keep it local?
Run npx whoburnedmore --local. It builds a dashboard on your machine; decline the optional publish offer to skip sign-in and the leaderboard.

Here is how this works

One command reads your local AI coding usage, totals your burn, and opens a dashboard. The default run signs you in to publish your rank — add --local and decline the optional publish offer to stay local with no account.

Needs Node.js 20 or newer. Works on macOS, Linux, and Windows.
